Easton Studio Press book publicity services and outreach
Once your book has been written, rewritten, edited and re-edited and on its way to publication, you may think your work is over. However, it is just beginning if you want to rise above the competition. How to go about this can be daunting to anyone who has little idea how or where to begin. Fortunately, Easton and its imprints can provide a seasoned publicist with over twenty years of experience who utilizes vast data bases of media outlets and contacts to get the attention for your book, either fiction or nonfiction.
Initially, a conversation is important to set expectations. There is flexibility in what we can offer with different price points, depending on your needs. We work with the very experienced and talented Carol Hoenig as our in-house Publicity Services Manager. When you work with us we:
- will become familiar with your book and will consider numerous pitches that could capture the interest of a reviewer and/or interviewer, avoiding cookie cutter approaches. (Most books have more than one particular pitch.)
- will send PDFs or physical copies of the book with the press release to national reviewers at least three months prior to the publication date as is required, including the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, ForeWord Magazine, Los Angeles Times, etc.
Other possible outlets for your book to be reviewed or you to be interviewed include:
- Targeted magazines
- Newspapers
- Blogs
- Radio
- Podcasts
- TV stations
In addition, we provide the following support services:
- Help with a book launch.
- Work on book tour or bookstore appearances.
- Provide bookstores with details about your book to encourage them to order copies.
- Help with social media promotion.
- Stay aware of stories that media outlets are seeking to see if you or your book would be a good fit.
- Send weekly updates of what has been done on behalf of the book.
